Cinema HD 2.0: Engelmann Media transforms your miniature videos into real movie giants!

Most video programs compress films so that they can be watched on mobile phone or MP4-player when being on the road. Cinema HD 2.0 takes exactly the opposite course. All types of videos can be enlarged selectively and without expensive hardware for large-scale view. This turns the mobile movie into a home cinema blockbuster and the normal video-DVD into a full-HD film for the mega TV in the living room.

Not smaller but larger: Cinema HD 2.0 by Engelmann Media increases the resolution of movies without reducing the quality when calculating new pixels. Video fans no longer have to resort to costly hardware or to the support of a professional and thus expensive studio. An ordinary application for the Windows-PC fills the market gap and guarantees that there are no ugly pixel blocks on TV as soon as mobile movies or video clips from the Internet are played in the home cinema.

Tim Stoepler of Engelmann Media GmbH: "An easy-to-operate video optimizer, which knows all about modern HD-standards – this was missing so far."

Cinema HD 2.0: No image artifacts thanks to ODU-technology

How to turn a run-of-the-mill movie into a high-definition video? For many years, Engelmann Media among others has been leading in the development of new algorithms for compressing and optimizing picture- and video material. However, instead of compressing videos, Cinema HD 2.0 takes the opposite course by applying the innovative ODU-technology (ODU = Object Detection Upscaling). Thanks to this technology, scaling errors and –artifacts resulting from an increase in resolution can be avoided or concealed. ODU can handle these problems better than known technologies like Spline or Lanczos.

Cinema HD 2.0: Neither black bars nor distortions

And another technology takes effect when "scaling up" the videos. All desired target resolutions can be realized in full screen, without requiring corrections of the aspect ratio. The videos are created without distortions or black bars, which otherwise is often the case. This feat is accomplished by another new video technique called non linear stretching. Missing picture information is calculated to adapt to the desired format so that black edges are simply dropped. Black bars can be cut automatically.

Cinema HD 2.0: Prepared profiles for every device

Cool: Cinema HD 2.0 already knows the precise demands of many devices to high definition films. Thanks to a selection of prepared profiles you can edit video files so that they cannot just be played in home cinema or on the PC with HDTV-screen, but likewise on a Sony Playstation 3, a Microsoft Xbox 360 or on Apple TV. Additional profiles for DVD-players, MPEG-4-players, hard disk players and streaming-clients are available. Furthermore, MJEPG videos for Nintendo Wii as well as Windows DreamScene videos for Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 can be created.

The profiles control the resolution, image quality and bit- and frame rates. It goes without saying that experienced users can adjust the defaults according to their own demands. CinemaHD 2.0 creates all common resolutions from 320x240 via 640x480, PAL and NTSC up to 720p, HD Ready and FullHD.

Tim Stoepler: "The prepared profiles relieve the user of the annoying hours of Internet research to find the suitable device information and appropriate video formats."
